Why do lesbians stereotypically like Subarus? Or is this old news and no longer true? I think they're kind of cute and I like that they're four-wheel drive, but I could never buy one because I'd feel obligated to place a rainbow sticker on the back bumper, even though I wouldn't even have to.
I'd rather have this, if I could afford it.
Are you serious? I know nothing of any such stereotype. But I'm tickled pink b/c I think (I really don't know b/c I'm terrible with make/models of cars) that a friend of mine drives a Volvo. Tell you what - you call her up and ask her if I got that right.
ReplyDeleteHere in Seattle at least I've heard them referred to as "Lesburus." Even though I'm gay and drive an Outback myself (which I love, by the way) -- sans rainbow sticker. I'm probably breaking some gay life rule!

Guess I should check my spelling: That would be "Lesbarus."
ReplyDeleteOops.

In our little town of 50,000 there are at least a couple rolling around with HRC stickers on the back.
ReplyDeleteokay, had to comment. HAD to!
ReplyDeletethat being because one of the only lesbians that i knew in real life down here had a (wait for it...)
SUBARU OUTBACK!!
this just made my day. thanks for that!
I totally agree!! Why is that?
ReplyDeletePlus if I see a guy driving a VW Beetle I automatically assume he is gay.
I think I may be a closet lesbian. I LOVE the Subaru, I have butch short hair, and I like a good pair of outdoorsy comfy shoes.
ReplyDeleteThat volvo is pretty much a fancy subaru by the way. :)
