Part of keeping things in balance. That's just me, though. ;-)
I've tried to be a good person for so long (well I'm still trying). And I like to think I do pretty well. But I look back on things in my teen years, for example.. I was reading my old journal the other day. I had felt SOOO incredibly guilty and awful about several things. And yes, some of that guilt was appropriate. But I was looking at that from where I am now (an adult, over 15 years after all of that) and realizing that I was a good kid! I didn't know it, but I was.
So I cut myself a little slack nowadays.HappyOrganisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12335633639616473197noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2011967497565662223.post-21541170018519808762009-04-08T16:01:00.000-06:002009-04-08T16:01:00.000-06:00Elder Hales' talk on Saturday morning.Elder Hales' talk on Saturday morning.alex dumashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02116984318148369609noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2011967497565662223.post-3765062818044554722009-04-08T15:59:00.000-06:002009-04-08T15:59:00.000-06:00What talk? What talk?Kimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09353058677893508208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2011967497565662223.post-48455910028514386782009-04-08T15:39:00.000-06:002009-04-08T15:39:00.000-06:00That talk stood out to you too? I just have to step back for a bit and catch my breath.drakameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01972238576489031871noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2011967497565662223.post-33620197231783679792009-04-08T12:37:00.000-06:002009-04-08T12:37:00.000-06:00This is what those who are fighting an addiction d...This is what those who are fighting an addiction do: create natural roadblocks in their environment, so that when they're weak, they still get time to think, call their sponsor and come back to their senses. I'm glad you got thwarted. I trust you'll be happier in the long run.Kimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09353058677893508208noreply@blogger.com
